i-Tec Men Storm Waterproof High Rise review

More info about i-Tec Men Storm Waterproof High Rise
The Hi-Tec Men Storm Waterproof makes the fourth slot for my best men’s walking boots. I tested this footwear over moderate terrain, as the build suggests.
Hi-Tec Men Storm Outsole
The vibrant rubber outsole has a unique Multi-Directional Traction (MDT). The benefit of that is improved grip and added durability. And the compression-moulded EVA midsole absorbs moderate impact nicely over regular hiking ground.
Hi-Tec Men Storm Upper
The suede and mesh combination makes these boots attractive for wide feet. But more importantly, the materials increase durability, breathability, and comfort. Another nice touch is the versatile lacing system you can personalize for a secure fit. My only gripe is that the waterproof shoes become water-resistant after a few wears.
Inside the Hi-Tec Men Storm
Inside we have a removable EVA compression moulded insole for underfoot cushioning. There’s also a Dri-Tec breathable waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry. Still, consider a better boot if you trek a lot in wet conditions (see above). Either that or prepare to treat them regularly with a silicone spray.
Conclusion
You’d be hard-pushed to find better hiking footwear at this price, and specifically wide width boots. They look fabulous, feel snug, and offer reasonable protection. It’s a no-brainer if you’re a dry weather moderate terrain trekker. But they won’t make the grade if you’re someone who needs a longer-lasting trail shoe for extreme hikes.
